Michael Mirilashvili

President

It is the birth right of every person in this world to enjoy the most basic human necessity of clean and pure drinking water, regardless of geographical location, skin color, or religious belief

Mr. Mirilashvili, who serves as the president of Water Gen, and a philanthropists who has been supporting and donating to many worthy causes, improving and saving the lives of many around the world, is the visionary man behind WaterGen mission to enable each and every human around the world to have fast and easy access to clean drinking water, anywhere, everywhere.

For more than 30 years, Michael Mirilashvili has been leading and directing numerous business ventures all over the world in various fields ranging from real estate, healthcare, information technology, management, entrepreneurship, to media, agro-tech, innovation social entrepreneurship, sports, hi-tech, infrastructure and green technologies.

Michael Mirilashvili devotes his time and resources to a broad spectrum of philanthropic activities, and has been chairing several renowned organizations around the world, including chairing the position of the Vice President of the World Jewish Congress.

Michael Mirilashvili is actively involved in the development of Water Gen strategy towards spreading its revolutionary technology all over the world, with the aim to improve the lives of billions around the world and provide those in need with clean, safe drinking water, thereby making his own contribution to to bring clean water to the world.

Maxim Pasik

Executive Chairman

Maxim Pasik is an internationally experienced, results-driven leader whose primary focus is spearheading Water-Gen’s business development strategy. His strategic contribution is dedicated to two parallel activities:

1. the continuous design of innovative solutions which meet the diverse needs of the world’s growing demand for clean drinking water, and

2. the successful establishment of a highly efficient global operation and supply chain that will distribute (and support) Water-Gen’s solutions worldwide.

Maxim also serves as Executive Chairman of other global companies, including BIEBeer Itzhak Energy Ltd. which invests in technology, infrastructure and energy projects; and Vertical Field, a worldwide pioneer in the design and construction of modular and lush, green vertical gardens and fields using a unique, state-of the art technology system.

With a self-styled and successful approach encouraging a flexible, team-oriented work culture, Maxim has time and again demonstrated continuous growth for the companies where he holds these executive positions.

An influential businessman, Maxim is well-versed in the developing water crisis across the globe. He has educated and been educated about the deterioration of the quality of life for people in distressed areas where water is scarce and/or accessibility to clean drinking water is virtually non-existent.

Maxim has introduced Water-Gen’s innovative technology solutions to provide clean drinking water to foreign government officials and the most prominent international business leaders. He has secured joint ventures to provide clean drinking water across the globe. He has sought collaborations to maximize Water-Gen usage in areas with little or no electricity by seeking solutions. As one example, in India, Water-Gen is partnering with Vikram Solar, the globally leading Tier 1 solar module manufacturer, to boost the efficiency of Water-Gen units by powering them with a solar energy solution, enabling its use in the remotest parts of India where electricity is not available.

Maxim is a regular contributor to TV news programs and international media focused on emerging Israeli technology as well as the humanitarian and environmental solutions Water-Gen is providing to alleviate the global water crisis. He recently traveled as a distinguished member of the official State of Israel delegation to Australia with Prime Minister Netanyahu and introduced Water-Gen at the UN Technology and Innovations forum for African Leaders (also with PM Netanyahu). At the prestigious World Economic Forum at the Dead Sea in Jordan which is widely attended by prominent global leaders, Maxim was a panelist in the closing day water panel entitled, “Racing Against the Clock: The Water Crisis” alongside other international and regionally acclaimed water experts. The panel discussed the water crisis in the world and how new technologies can improve the governance and management of water in the region.

In the United States, Maxim has engaged with senior officials at U.S. federal agencies and introduced Water-Gen solutions as preventative measures against contaminated water resources. His insistence that Water-Gen be available to provide clean, drinking water wherever it is needed is not being overlooked. Most recently, U.S. Marine Corps and National Guard units invited Water-Gen to participate in a three-state emergency responder drill to illustrate the preparedness of Water-Gen to dispense clean, drinking water in response to emergency disaster situations.

A certified CPA, Maxim began his career in 2000 as a tax advisor at Ernst and Young Israel and also served as a lecturer in capital markets, accounting and finance at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Kiryat Ono College. He earned a Bachelor of Business Management degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Manchester University.

Arye Kohavi

Co-CEO

Arye Kohavi is the founder and Co-CEO of Water-Gen LTD.

Kohavi holds an MBA and a BA in Economics and Accounting from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and served in the IDF as a Combat Reconnaissance Company commander.

Before founding Water-Gen, Kohavi has been the Founder & Chairman of composica, a novel E-learning software developer. Kohavi also served as an Independent M&A Executive, Chairman and Director in top-end Israeli companies, and as Co-CEO at Meitav Corporate Finance, one of Israel leading investment houses.

Arye Kohavi has been chosen as one of the world’s 100 Leading Global Thinkers, and one of the world’s top innovators of 2014 by Foreign Policy Magazine

Avi Peretz

Co-Founder and Co-CEO

Avi has over a decade of experience in the water industry. He has and continues to manage the strategic executional aspects of the drinking water segment and introducing the technological advances to the domestic markets. Always a key decision maker and member of executive management teams, his successful career has had him directing operations and staff with a hands-on approach from product inception to completion.

Previously, Avi served for two decades as VP and CEO managing companies in the Pharma industry. He led the company’s activities through direct and matrix management, formed collaborations, and ensured synergy with the other company divisions while achieving high performance results. He also managed a pharmacy chain, specializing in the vitamin sector and supervising the overall chain operation.

Avi served as an Intelligence and Combat Reconnaissance Team Commander in the Israel Defense Forces.

 

Itzhak Ilan 

Director

Mr. Itzhak Ilan is the former Deputy Director of the Israeli Security Agency (“Shin-Bet”), where he held various senior intelligence positions and sensitive high-security clearance roles. Prior to being appointed as its Deputy Director, Mr. Ilan served as the Head of the Shin-Bet’s Foreign Division, Head of the Counter-Terrorism Division and Head of the Interrogations Division.

Mr. Ilan has vast experience in managing complex security and intelligence operations and addressing crisis situations. ‫Utilizing his vast skills gained from over 30 years in Israel’s top governmental security agency and his close cooperation with the Israeli Police and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Mr. Ilan provides high-level security services in various sectors, including terrorism prevention, suspect interrogations, counter-espionage & field investigations. He is also a renowned expert in polygraph examinations.

Mr. Ilan concurrently serves as a board member with specialized companies operating in the international arena.

Jacques Eshel Azuelos

VP, Strategic Partners

Jacques served as the CEO of BSI, Security Factor, where he has managed a range of turn-key security projects for international and multi-national clients that have included security systems, intelligence and technology. Prior to his position at BSI, he was VP of Business Development at Merhav, a company that undertakes large-scale project development.

Before joining the private sector, Jacques held various security-related advisory positions in Israel’s Prime Minister’s office. Among the roles he dealt with were operational and intelligence issues relating to counter-terrorism, technology and research.

Jacques is currently a Director at Octopus which developed a command and control software enabling organizations to effectively manage all their security, safety and logistical requirements from one place.

He earned an MA in political science from Bruxelles University and an MA in security and Defense from Haifa University.

Shachar Manor

VP, Operations

With a successful 17-year career in supply chain management, Shachar brings extensive expertise in logistics, purchasing and inventory to Water-Gen. Reorganization, efficiency, performance improvement are all areas of his expertise, duly positioned to enhance Water-Gen’s operational strategy and focus on the business needs.

Shachar has a wide range of executive managerial and IT experience in hi-tech, lo-tech and the defense industry and has gathered years of hands-on experience for the Israel Ministry of Defense, Tnuva, Nestle, IAI and Intel.

He graduated from Ben Gurion University with a B.Sc. in Indusrial and Managerial Engineering and an MBA in Business Management.

Alexey Pood

CFO

With nine years of experience in finance, management and business development, Alexey is responsible for finance, tax and accounting and regularly contributes his professional expertise and active involvement and support to the Water-Gen CEO and executive management team.

Previously Alexey served as Senior Manager at EY, where he was involved on an international level with private companies, IPOs and public companies traded on the Israeli, UK, U.S., and Russian markets in the real estate, telecom and hi-tech industries. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Israel and holds a BA in Economics and Business Management from Ben Gurion University.

Yehuda Kaploun

President of Water-Gen USA

Yehuda Kaploun is responsible for coordinating the strategic development and partnerships throughout the United States both within the private and public sectors. Currently, Water-Gen has established partnerships with countries and cities worldwide to use the cutting-edge technology.
Before joining Water-Gen USA, Kaploun served as Senior Partner in Kap Consulting Group and counseled companies seeking to work with U.S. Federal, State and City agencies. He serves in an advisory capacity to large corporations, law firms, investment firms, and real estate companies across the U.S. and in Israel.  He is also known and recognized for his vast network of political and business leaders.
A respected spokesperson and community leader in New York and Florida, Kaploun is sought-after for his opinions and commentary in the national media, including FOX and ABC News as well as leading New York publications. 
 
Kaploun serves as Executive Vice President of the Moses and Aaron Foundation which serves children with special needs. The late Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel was its Honorary Chairman. For this charitable work, Kaploun has been honored by both the U.S. Congress and Senate, former New York Governor Pataki, former New York Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg, and the New York State Assembly.
 
Kaploun resides in the Greater Miami area. 

Alan Dershowitz

Board Member

Alan Morton Dershowitz  is an American lawyer and author. He is a scholar of United States constitutional law and criminal law, and a leading defender of civil liberties. He spent most of his career at Harvard Law School where in 1967, at the age of 28, he became the youngest full professor of law in its history. He held the Felix Frankfurter professorship there from 1993 until his retirement in December 2013. He is now a regular CNN contributor and political analyst.

Dershowitz was involved in several legal cases and is a commentator on the Arab–Israeli conflict. As a criminal appellate lawyer, he won 13 of the 15 murder and attempted murder cases he handled, and has represented a series of celebrity clients, including Mike Tyson, Patty Hearst, and Jim Bakker. His most notable cases include his role in 1984 in overturning the conviction of Claus von Bülow for the attempted murder of his wife, Sunny, and as the appellate adviser for the defense in the O. J. Simpson murder trial in 1995.

A political liberal, he is the author of a number of books about politics and law.

Michael Rutman

Board Member

Michael brings a breadth of technological knowledge with a decade serving as CTO in several large international companies. Simultaneously during this same 10-year time period, Michael managed and directed the design and subsequent launch of various consumer products.

His expansive knowledge of international marketing, online marketing, and UI/UX customization has enabled him to dispel a comprehensive and thorough analysis of market trends and product positioning across the globe.

Michael graduated with a BsC in Computer Science from the University of Derby in England.

Asllan Jaku

Board Member

Asllan is the Chairman & CEO of Pionaire Finance Limited since October 2006. He specializes in implementing financial structures in Energy and Commodity Trading, Corporate Financing & Private Placement, Infrastructure Financing, and Government Loans [loan format/bond issue] in several countries including China, the Philippines, India, Iran, and Vietnam. His extensive experience has enabled him to work closely with big financial institutions all over the world, such as Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Credit Suisse, ING Bank, RBS, Barclays Bank, ABC, CITIC Group [Citic Securities], ICBC, CIC, CDB, and China Exim Bank in Hong Kong and China.

To date, Asllan has successfully negotiated agreements for the PNOC Exploration Corporation (PNOC EC), the oil, gas, and coal arm of the Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC) for the development of a 20 mt per year Refinery, Petrochemical Complex, Storage Facility and Terminal, 1200 MW Combine Cycle Gas-Fired Power Plant, and LPG Storage and Terminal in Tubalan, Province of Davao Occidental, Philippines. His current projects cover a vast range of companies across the globe: Shenzhen Shennan Power Gas Turbine Engineering Technique Co., LTD, Sinopec Engineering International, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), China Zhenhua Oil, Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Corp., Ltd. (SDEPCI), China North Industries Corp. (NORINCO), NORINCO International Cooperation Ltd., in China, Saipem in Italy, Bharat Petroleum IOCL, ONGC, HPCL in India, E United Group in Taiwan, BP in United Kingdom & Singapore, Shell in Hague & Singapore, NLNG in Nigeria and Petrolimex in Vietnam.
